If you are starting from the Nîmes train station (Gare de Nîmes), exit the station and head east on Avenue Feuchères. After about 500 meters, take a right onto Rue de la République. Continue straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way. The Musée Lapidaire will be on your left at 27 Rue de la République, just before you reach the Palais des Papes.
