If you are starting from the Nîmes train station (Gare de Nîmes), exit the station and head southwest on Rue de la République. After about 500 meters, turn left onto Boulevard Jean-Jaurès. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach the large roundabout at Place de la République. From here, take the first exit onto Rue de la Madeleine. Walk straight for about 300 meters, and you will arrive at Place d'Assas, which is a small square surrounded by cafes and shops.
Public Transport
From the Nîmes train station, you can take Tram Line 1 towards 'Garrigues' and get off at the 'Jean Jaurès' stop. This journey takes about 10 minutes. Once you exit the tram, head south along Boulevard Jean-Jaurès for about 400 meters, then turn right onto Rue de la Madeleine. Walk straight for about 300 meters, and you'll find yourself at Place d'Assas. Make sure to check the tram schedule for return times.
Walking from the City Center
If you are in the city center, such as near the Nîmes Arena, start by walking towards the east on Rue de la République. Continue straight, passing through several shops and cafes. After about 600 meters, you will reach the Place de la République. Take the first exit onto Rue de la Madeleine. Walk for approximately 300 meters, and you will arrive at Place d'Assas.
