Walking
From the city center of Nîmes, head towards the main train station, Gare de Nîmes. Exit the station and walk straight along Avenue Feuchères until you reach Boulevard Amiral Courbet. Turn left onto Boulevard Amiral Courbet and continue walking until you reach Place de la République. From there, continue straight onto Avenue Jean Jaurès, which will lead you to the main road towards Avignon. You can also catch a bus from the Nîmes train station to Avignon if you prefer not to walk.

Train
