If you are starting from the Nîmes train station (Gare de Nîmes), exit the station and head southwest on Rue de la République. Continue on this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach Place de la République. From there, turn left onto Boulevard Amiral Courbet. As you continue, you will see the impressive Roman amphitheater (Les Arènes de Nîmes) on your right. Continue straight until you reach Rue de la Madeleine. Turn right on Rue de la Madeleine and follow it until you reach Place aux Herbes, where Nîmes Cathedral is located.

From the Maison Carrée, a famous Roman temple in Nîmes, exit onto Place de la Maison Carrée. Head south towards Rue de la Madeleine. Continue straight along Rue de la Madeleine until you reach Place aux Herbes. Nîmes Cathedral will be on your left as you approach the square.
