Train
From central Paris, head to the nearest RER station. You can take the RER C train towards Versailles Château Rive Gauche. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Versailles Château Rive Gauche station, exit the station and follow the signs to the Palace of Versailles. The Queen’s Hamlet is located within the grounds of the Palace, approximately a 15-minute walk from the main entrance.
Bus
You can take Bus Line 171 from the Pont de Sèvres bus station in Paris. The bus will take you directly to the Palace of Versailles. The journey takes around 30-40 minutes. After arriving, follow the signs to the entrance of the Palace, and then walk towards the Queen’s Hamlet, which is a short walk within the palace grounds.
Bike
For a more active option, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike rental shops in Paris. Head towards the Seine River and follow the bike paths that lead to Versailles. The ride takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Once you reach the Palace of Versailles, park your bike and walk towards the Queen’s Hamlet, which is located within the palace grounds.
Walking Tour
If you're feeling adventurous and are staying relatively close to Versailles, consider a walking tour. Start at the Palace of Versailles and enter through the main entrance. After exploring the palace, make your way to the gardens and follow the signs to the Queen’s Hamlet. Make sure to allow plenty of time, as this will take several hours, and wear comfortable shoes!
