Getting There

• Metro

  To reach Place Saint-Michel by metro, first locate the nearest metro station. If you are at Châtelet-Les Halles station, take Line 4 (the dark blue line) in the direction of Porte de Clignancourt. Get off at the next stop, Saint-Michel. Upon exiting the station, walk towards the square, which is just a short walk away. You will see the iconic fountain and the beautiful architecture surrounding the square.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take the bus, find a nearby bus stop for lines 21, 27, or 38. Board the bus in the direction of either Gare Saint-Lazare or Place de l'Opéra. Stay on until you reach the stop called Saint-Michel. Once you disembark, you will be just steps away from the square. Take a moment to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and the nearby cafés.

• Walking

  If you are in the vicinity of the Seine River, you can easily walk to Place Saint-Michel. Head towards the river and walk along the Left Bank. As you approach the Île de la Cité, look for the Pont Saint-Michel bridge. Cross the bridge, and you will find yourself directly at Place Saint-Michel. Enjoy the views of Notre-Dame Cathedral as you walk.

• RER Train

  For those coming from outer areas of Paris, take the RER B train to Saint-Michel – Notre-Dame station. Upon arrival, follow the signs to the exit. Once you are outside, you will be at the edge of Place Saint-Michel. Look for the fountain and the surrounding cafés to fully immerse yourself in the local culture.
