Walking
If you are near the iconic Sacré-Cœur Basilica, start by heading down the hill towards Rue des Abbesses. Continue walking down until you reach the intersection with Place des Abbesses. Square Jehan Rictus is located directly in this square at 14 Place des Abbesses. You will recognize it by its lovely green space and the vibrant atmosphere of the surrounding area.
Metro
If you are further away, take Metro Line 12 and get off at 'Abbesses' station. Upon exiting the station, you will see a beautiful Art Nouveau entrance. From there, walk straight down Rue des Abbesses. The square is just a short walk away, located at 14 Place des Abbesses. This journey costs €1.90 for a single ticket.
Public Bus
If you prefer to take the bus, you can catch Bus Line 40 and get off at the ‘Place des Abbesses’ stop. The square will be right in front of you. This bus ride also costs €1.90 for a single ticket.
Walking from the Moulin Rouge
If you are near the famous Moulin Rouge, you can walk to Square Jehan Rictus. Head up Boulevard de Clichy, then turn right onto Rue des Abbesses. Continue walking straight, and you will soon arrive at Place des Abbesses where Square Jehan Rictus is located. This walk should take around 15-20 minutes.
