Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Bayonne, take the A63 motorway towards Biarritz. After approximately 8 km, take exit 4 for Biarritz. Follow the signs for Biarritz center and continue on Avenue de la Reine Victoria, which turns into Avenue de la République. Once you reach Place Georges Clemenceau, continue straight onto Avenue du Maréchal Foch. Turn left onto Esplanade du Rocher de la Vierge. The Biarritz Aquarium will be on your right. There is parking available nearby, but be aware of parking fees that may apply.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Biarritz Aquarium using public transportation, start by taking a train from your location in Pays Basque to Biarritz train station. From the station, you can catch Bus Line 2 (Direction: Biarritz - La Côte) or Line 5 (Direction: Biarritz - Cité de l’Océan) from the bus stop right outside the station. Get off at the 'Rocher de la Vierge' stop, which is a short walk from the aquarium. The entire journey may take approximately 30-45 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule for operating times, as they may vary, and be prepared to pay a small fare for the bus ticket.

• Walking

  If you are already in Biarritz, you can walk to the aquarium. From the city center, head towards the coast and follow Avenue de la République. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront, where you can see the Rocher de la Vierge. The aquarium is located on Esplanade du Rocher de la Vierge, right next to the iconic rock formation. The walk should take around 15-20 minutes, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful seaside views along the way.
