Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Biarritz. From the A63 motorway, take exit 4 for Biarritz and follow signs for the city center. Continue straight on Avenue de la Reine Victoria, then take a right onto Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Follow the road until it becomes Avenue de l'Impératrice, which will take you towards the coast. Keep an eye out for the signs for Rocher de la Vierge. There is limited parking available near the site, and you may have to park a short walk away during peak tourist times.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Rocher de la Vierge using public transportation, take the regional train or bus to Biarritz. If you arrive by train, Biarritz station is a short walk from the town center. From the center, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a local bus. If walking, head towards the coast along Avenue de la Reine Victoria. For the bus, you can catch lines 1 or 2 from the main bus station or stops near the center, which will take you close to the Rocher de la Vierge. The bus fare is generally around €1.50.

• Walking

  If you are already in Biarritz, walking to Rocher de la Vierge is pleasant and highly recommended. From the town center, make your way towards the coast, following Avenue de la Reine Victoria. The walk is scenic and takes approximately 20 minutes. As you approach the coast, you will see the iconic rock formation. There are also paths leading down to the shoreline which offer breathtaking views.
