Getting There

  • Walking

    From central Bayonne, the Plaine d'Ansot is accessible via a pleasant walk. Head east towards the Nive river. Cross the Pont Blanc (white bridge), a pedestrian bridge providing access to the Plaine. Follow the path along the river to reach the Maison des Barthes and the Natural History Museum. The walk from the bridge takes approximately 15 minutes. Note that the path has a section in earth/compacted gravel, which may present difficulties for people with reduced mobility.

  • Public Transport

    The Txik Txak bus network serves the Plaine d'Ansot. Take bus lines 30, 46, 5, T2 or N6 to the 'Parking La Floride' stop. From there, it's a 9-minute walk to the Plaine d'Ansot. As of July 2025, a single bus ticket within Bayonne costs around €1.30.

  • Parking

    If driving, use the 'Parking de la Floride' located at 12 Av. Raoul Follereau, 64100 Bayonne. From the parking, cross the Pont Blanc (white bridge) to access the Plaine d'Ansot. Parking is free on Saturday afternoons (from 2 pm), Sundays, and public holidays. Otherwise, the first 1.5 hours of parking at Lauga parking lot are free. Parking de la Floride offers 5 free motorhome parking spaces.
