Car
The Château de Pierrefonds is located in the heart of the village. From Paris, take the A1 highway, exit at Compiègne (n° 9), then follow the D200 towards Compiègne and the D973 to Pierrefonds. From Lille, take the A1 highway, exit at Compiègne (n° 11), then follow the D935 to Compiègne and the D973 to Pierrefonds. Free parking is available on Rue Sabatier, a 10-minute walk to the castle. Additional parking is available around the castle and in the town center.
Public Transport
From Paris, take a train to Compiègne. From the Compiègne train station, take bus line 657 to Pierrefonds. The bus will drop you off in the center of Pierrefonds, a short walk from the castle. Bus tickets cost approximately €2. Alternatively, a taxi from Compiègne to Pierrefonds will cost approximately €20-30.
