Driving
From Barcelonnette, take the D900 road for approximately 28 km towards St. Vincent les Forts. The drive offers scenic views of the Ubaye Valley. Upon reaching St. Vincent les Forts, follow signs to the village center. Parking is available in the village, from which the fort is a short walk. Be aware that parking can be limited during peak season.
Walking
From the center of St. Vincent les Forts, follow the marked paths uphill towards Fort Vauban. The walk is moderately steep and takes approximately 15-20 minutes. As you ascend, you'll pass through the charming village streets and enjoy increasing views of the valley. Note that the final approach to the fort may involve unpaved paths.
