The Pont Roman de Mane, often misleadingly called a "Roman bridge," is actually a Romanesque bridge that gracefully spans the Laye River in Mane, a charming village in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. This historical monument, dating back to the 12th or 13th century, stands as a testament to medieval engineering and architectural prowess.Originally built along the road connecting Apt to Sisteron, the bridge now serves as a pedestrian walkway, inviting visitors to step back in time. The bridge is constructed with three arches, with the largest arch believed to be the only original medieval component.
