Public Transport
From Toulouse, take a train to Montréjeau-Gourdan-Polignan. From there, take a local bus towards Aventignan. Check local bus schedules in advance as they may not run frequently. Once in Aventignan, it's about a 15-minute walk to Gargas Caves. Look for signs directing you to 81 Route de Gargas. Train tickets from Toulouse to Montréjeau-Gourdan-Polignan range from €10-€21. Bus fare will be a few euros.
Taxi
Taxis are available from Lannemezan or other nearby towns. A taxi ride from Lannemezan to Gargas Caves is approximately 10-15 minutes, costing around €20-€30. Confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Car
If driving, head towards the D929 road from your location in the Pyrenees. Follow the D929 towards Aventignan. Once you reach Aventignan, follow the signs to Gargas Caves, located at 81 Route de Gargas, 65660 Aventignan. A dedicated parking area is available at the site. Parking fees, if applicable, are minimal.
