Informative walk through Rennes, slightly reserved in delivery

The 60‑minute private walking tour through central Rennes offered an interesting and compact introduction to the city. Our guide was very friendly and pleasant, though she tended to speak rather softly and maintained a generally reserved manner. Of course, this is a matter of personal style, but a slightly livelier or more engaging delivery would have made the experience even more stimulating. The historical overview was solid and informative, with a particular emphasis on churches and religious heritage. Personally, I would have appreciated a bit more insight into modern Rennes, along with a few hidden alleyways, anecdotes, or local insider tips to round out the picture. The tour ended somewhat abruptly; a short wrap‑up with directions, restaurant suggestions, or recommendations for further exploration would have been a nice touch. Despite the relatively high price, the walk provided a good overall introduction to Rennes and served as a helpful starting point for my two‑day stay in the capital of Brittany.

Beautiful city, with interesting areas. Good to be able to pause and visit other places like the fantastic Saturday market. Could be improved by having a little more detailed information and perhaps personal historical stories. Worth the money paid.
