If you are starting from the Rouen-Rive-Droite train station, exit the station and head south down Rue de la République. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the Place de la République. Here, you will see the famous Hôtel de Ville (City Hall) to your left. From the square, walk down Rue de la Ganterie, which will lead you into the heart of the historic city. Continue on this path, and it will merge into Rue Saint-Romain. Follow this street for about 400 meters until you reach the Place de la cathédrale. The cathedral will be visible as you approach the square.

If you are at the Gros Horloge, a famous clock tower in Rouen, head east on Rue du Gros Horloge. Walk straight for about 200 meters, and you will reach a small square. From there, turn left onto Rue de la Cathédrale. Continue walking for about 150 meters, and you will arrive at the Place de la cathédrale, where you can admire the stunning architecture of Rouen Cathedral.
