Walking
If you are starting from the Saint-Malo train station, exit the station and head towards Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Continue straight until you reach the entrance of the walled city, known as 'Intra-Muros'. Once inside the city walls, follow Rue de la Mairie until you reach the large square, Place Chateaubriand. From there, head towards the ramparts (the city walls) and follow them to the west. You will eventually reach the gate of the ramparts near the Tour Bidouane. Continue along the ramparts until you reach the steps leading down to the beach. Go down the steps, and you will see Grand Bé off the coast. At low tide, you can walk directly to the island.

If you are starting from the main tourist office in Saint-Malo, located on Rue des Fusillés, exit the office and walk towards Rue de la Mairie. Follow the same route as mentioned earlier, heading to Place Chateaubriand and then to the ramparts. The views along the ramparts are breathtaking, and it will lead you directly to the area near Grand Bé.

From the popular beach area, Plage de l'Éventail, walk along the beach towards the west. At low tide, you can see Grand Bé quite clearly and it is just a short walk across the sand. Make your way towards the island, but be mindful of the tide schedule as it can quickly change.
