    The most common way to reach Cap Taillat is by walking from Plage de l'Escalet. From the parking area, follow the coastal path ('Sentier du Littoral') for approximately one hour.     During the summer (June 15 to September 15), a free shuttle service operates from Ramatuelle village to Plage de l'Escalet. Check the Ramatuelle Tourist Office website for the exact schedule and route. From Plage de l'Escalet, follow the walking directions to Cap Taillat. There are no costs associated with the shuttle or the walk.

    If driving, park at the Plage de l'Escalet. Paid parking is available, and there are also some free parking spots along the road. Arrive early, especially in July and August, as spaces fill up quickly. As of 2015, parking cost around 4 EUR. From the parking area, follow the walking directions to Cap Taillat.

Cap Taillat, also known as Cap Cartaya, is a French cape situated in the Var department, just south of the Saint-Tropez peninsula. It marks the boundary between Ramatuelle and La Croix-Valmer. What makes Cap Taillat particularly unique is its connection to the mainland via a sandy isthmus, known as a tombolo. The area encompassing Cap Taillat, along with Cap Camarat and Cap Lardier, is protected by the Conservatoire du littoral due to its rich biodiversity. This region is designated as a NATURA 2000 site and a Zone naturelle d'intérêt écologique, faunistique et floristique (ZNIEFF). It also forms part of the Port-Cros National Park's buffer zone. The site is home to some of France's rarest plant species as well as a population of Hermann tortoises. Visitors can enjoy the clear turquoise waters and fine golden sand of the beaches at Cap Taillat. The unique peninsula location offers spectacular panoramic views of the sea and surrounding coastline. The coastline is rugged, offering a picturesque setting for a leisurely walk.
