In 1907, maritime authorities mandated the creation of a quay in the Poussai cove to compensate fishermen and boaters. A breakwater was added around 1930. The port was rebuilt in 1947 after being destroyed during World War II. The jetty was extended in 1954, and a counter-jetty was constructed on the east side in 1976. Today, Port du Poussai offers 90 berths for small boats (5.20m to 6m) and is equipped with fresh water, electricity, and a boat launch. The harbor is well-protected from the elements, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy the nearby red-pebble beach, explore coastal trails, and admire the Île d'Or with its distinctive medieval-style tower.
