Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Cathedral of Strasbourg, head east on Place de la Cathédrale towards Rue des Grandes Arcades. After walking for about 5 minutes, take a left onto Rue des Tonneliers. Continue straight until you reach Rue Thomann. Grande-Île de Strasbourg is located at 24 Rue Thomann. It should take around 10-15 minutes to walk there.

  • Public Transport (Tram)

    If you prefer to take public transport, walk to the nearest tram stop called 'Homme de Fer' located on Place de l'Homme de Fer. Board Tram Line A in the direction of 'Illkirch Lixenbuhl'. Get off at the 'Langstross Grand' stop after two stops. From there, walk south on Rue de la Mésange, turn right onto Rue des Tonneliers, and continue until you reach Rue Thomann. Grande-Île de Strasbourg will be on your left. The tram ride costs approximately €1.70.
