The Abîme de Bramabiau, near Saint-Sauveur-Camprieu, France, is a dramatic resurgence where the Bonheur River bursts forth from a 70-meter-high fissure in a canyon. Meaning 'bellowing ox' in the local Occitan dialect, the name reflects the roar of the water, especially during high water levels. Driving
From Saint-Sauveur-Camprieu, follow the D986 towards Meyrueis. The Abîme de Bramabiau is located approximately 2 km from the village. Look for signs indicating the Abîme de Bramabiau. Parking is available near the ticket office. From the parking area, it's a 1.2 km walk to the cave entrance. Parking is free. There is also free overnight camping car parking.
Public Transport
From Meyrueis, take the liO bus, route 58, towards Le Vigan. Get off at the stop near Camprieu and either walk or take a taxi to the site. Check the liO Occitanie website for the latest schedules. Bus fare is approximately €2-€4.
