This final approach involves some rocky terrain and small stream crossings. Allow approximately 3-4 hours for the round trip hike to Lac Longet.

To reach the Pierre Giret parking area using public transport, take a train to Bourg-Saint-Maurice. From there, local buses or taxis can take you to Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise.
