Arbre Remarquable is located on Place François Sicard, easily accessible from the city center. From Place Jean Jaurès, walk west along Rue Nationale, then turn left onto Rue de la Scellerie. Continue onto Place de la Cathédrale, then turn right onto Rue François Sicard. The park will be on your left. This is a straightforward walk of approximately 15 minutes. No costs involved.

The Fil Bleu tram Line A stops at the 'Cathédrale' station, a short walk from Arbre Remarquable. From the train station (Gare de Tours), take the tram towards 'Lycée Jean Monnet' and get off at 'Cathédrale'. Walk along Rue de la Scellerie, then turn right onto Rue François Sicard. The park will be on your left. A single tram ticket costs €1.60.

Arbre Remarquable, French for 'Remarkable Tree,' is a celebrated city park in Tours, France, offering a peaceful respite from urban life. Its centerpiece is a magnificent cedar of Lebanon (cèdre du Liban) in the courtyard of the Musée des Beaux-Arts. Planted in 1804, this tree has become a beloved landmark, its sprawling branches a verdant canopy.The park provides paved pathways ideal for leisurely strolls and quiet contemplation amidst lush greenery. Benches are scattered throughout, inviting visitors to sit and soak in the beauty. The park also hosts local events, adding to its cultural significance.The cedar of Lebanon itself is a sight to behold. It was labelled as an 'Arbre Remarquable de France' in May 2001. It stands 31 meters tall with a branch বিস্তার of 33 meters, its branches covering nearly 800 square meters. The circumference of its trunk measures 7.5 meters at one meter above the ground. The city of Tours even uses semi-rigid shrouds to support its heavy branches.
