Getting There

• Walking

  From the city center of Tours, head towards the Place Jean Jaurès. If you're at the Tours Cathedral, walk south on Rue de la Scellerie until you reach Place Jean Jaurès. Once at the square, you will see a large roundabout. From there, take the exit onto Rue de la République. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue Victor Hugo. Turn right onto Rue Victor Hugo and walk straight until you reach Place François Sicard. Arbre remarquable is located at 18 Place François Sicard, situated within the park area. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

• Public Transport

  If you prefer to take public transport, you can use the tram system. Board Tram Line A at any nearby tram stop in the city center, heading towards 'Tours - La Riche'. Get off at the 'Gare de Tours' stop. From there, transfer to Bus Line 2 towards 'Saint-Pierre-des-Corps'. Get off at the 'François Sicard' stop. The Arbre remarquable is just a short walk from the bus stop, located at 18 Place François Sicard. This journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes in total, including waiting times.

  For those who like cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many bike-sharing stations around Tours. Start by heading towards the Loire River. Cycle along the riverbank towards the north until you reach the Pont de fil (a pedestrian bridge). Cross the bridge and continue straight on the bike lane, which will lead you to the city center. Once you reach Place Jean Jaurès, follow the earlier walking instructions from there to reach Place François Sicard. The bicycle ride should take around 20 minutes, depending on your pace.
