From Tours, head to the Tours train station (Gare de Tours), which is located in the city center. You can walk there or take a local bus. At the station, purchase a ticket to Blois. Trains to Blois run regularly, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Blois, exit the train station and look for bus line 4, which will take you directly to Château de Chaumont. The bus ride takes around 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Château de Chaumont' stop, and you will see the entrance to the castle.

From the center of Tours, take bus line 1 towards Tours Nord – Beaulieu. Get off at the 'Gare de Tours' stop. From there, take a train to Blois (as described above). Alternatively, you can take a direct bus from Tours to Chaumont-sur-Loire. Check the local transit schedules for the latest routes and times, as they may vary. Once you arrive at the stop for Château de Chaumont, walk a short distance to the entrance.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Tours. Follow the Loire River bike path east from Tours towards Chaumont-sur-Loire.
