Car
From the center of Val d'Isère, head southeast on Avenue Olympique. Continue straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Route de la Balme. Follow this road for approximately 3 km, keeping an eye out for signs directing you to Lac de l'Ouillette. Park at the designated parking area near the lake, which may require a small fee depending on the time of year.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, take the local bus service from the Val d'Isère bus station. Look for the bus heading to La Daille or Tignes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop for Lac de l'Ouillette. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus stop, follow the clearly marked trails leading to the lake, which is only a short walk away.
Hiking
For those who enjoy hiking, you can start from the center of Val d'Isère and hike to Lac de l'Ouillette. Begin your trek by heading towards the 'Le Fornet' area. Follow the marked hiking routes, which will lead you through beautiful alpine scenery. This hike is approximately 5 km one way and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear suitable hiking boots and carry water.
