The Historial de la Vendée is located in Les Lucs-sur-Boulogne, approximately 25 minutes from La Roche-sur-Yon. From La Roche-sur-Yon, take the D763 towards Nantes and follow the signs for Les Lucs-sur-Boulogne (D937). The Historial and Mémorial de la Vendée are well signposted. Free parking is available on site. A specific rate is available for camping cars, including access to water and electricity. Note that parking is allowed for one night only.

The commune of Les Lucs-sur-Boulogne is served by bus line No. 180, which runs between Nantes and La Roche-sur-Yon every day except Sunday. The bus stops in the town of Les Lucs-sur-Boulogne, a 15-minute walk from the Historial via a marked footpath. Bus tickets cost around €2 - €4 for a single journey, depending on the distance.
