From Versailles, head to the Versailles Château-Rive Gauche train station. Take the RER C train towards Pontoise and get off at the Saint-Germain-en-Laye station, which is approximately a 15-minute ride. Once you arrive at Saint-Germain-en-Laye station, exit the station and walk towards the main road, Rue de Paris. Turn right and walk straight until you reach Place Charles de Gaulle. The Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye will be directly ahead.

From Versailles, find the nearest bus stop for the 10 or 15 bus lines. Board the bus towards Saint-Germain-en-Laye. The journey will take around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Place Charles de Gaulle stop, disembark and the Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye will be right in front of you.

Walking
If you're up for a scenic walk, start from the center of Versailles. Head northwest towards Rue de la Paroisse, then continue onto Rue de Montreuil. Follow the signs towards Saint-Germain-en-Laye. The walk is approximately 7 kilometers and will take around an hour and a half. You will enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding areas. Once you reach Place Charles de Gaulle, the Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye will be located there.
