Start at the Versailles Rive Gauche train station. Exit the station and walk towards Avenue de Paris. Turn left onto Avenue de Paris and continue walking straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Rue de Satory. Turn right onto Rue de Satory and continue straight. This will take you to the main entrance of the Palace of Versailles. From here, head towards the gardens. Follow the path through the gardens, eventually reaching the Grand Canal. At the Grand Canal, you can enjoy the view and take a break. To get to the Green Carpet, you will need to take public transportation. Head back to the Palace entrance and walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Avenue de Sceaux. Board Bus 171 towards 'Chaville Rive Droite'. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes, then get off at the stop called 'Meudon - Parc'. From the bus stop, walk towards the Parc de Meudon. The Green Carpet is located within the park, just follow the signs.
