    Discover more about Jardin Bergeyre

Nestled atop a hill in the 19th arrondissement, Jardin Bergeyre is a serene community garden offering a unique escape from the bustling Parisian streets. Established in 2004, this shared garden spans 150 square meters and is cared for by the Butte Bergeyre Association, creating a welcoming atmosphere for locals and tourists alike. Once known as the "jardin des Chaufourniers," the garden was inaugurated on September 26, 2004, during the Fête des Jardins. It provides a panoramic view of Montmartre and houses various trees, plants, flowers, and aromatic herbs. The garden also features a small vineyard, the clos des Chaufourniers, and several beehives that produce the popular Butte Bergeyre honey. Visitors can explore the well-maintained pathways, admire the vibrant flora, and enjoy the tranquil setting. Benches are available for those seeking a quiet moment to relax and take in the scenery. The garden's elevated location provides breathtaking views of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica and the Eiffel Tower. Although access is limited, the garden's peaceful ambiance and unique charm make it a worthwhile visit. The history of Butte Bergeyre is also interesting. A century ago, it resembled Montmartre, with windmills, farmland and vineyards. The area lost green space when the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont was created. Today, Butte Bergeyre maintains a village vibe with around 1,200 residents and offers a unique perspective on Parisian life.
