    If you are starting from the Palace of Versailles, exit the palace grounds and head towards the main entrance, the Cour d'Honneur. Once you reach the main gate (Porte de la Reine), turn left and walk along Avenue de Paris. Continue straight until you reach the entrance to the gardens. Enter the gardens and follow the main paths, heading north. You will pass by the Grand Canal on your left. Continue walking straight; the Parterre du Nord is located in the northern part of the gardens, just after the Parterre du Midi.
