Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the Palace of Versailles, exit the palace through the main entrance and head towards the main courtyard, known as Place d'Armes. Walk straight across the courtyard towards the gardens. Once you reach the gardens, continue straight along the main path, known as the Grand Perspective. Keep walking until you reach the large water feature, Latona's Pool, located at the end of the Grand Perspective. The Parterre is located directly adjacent to the pool.

    From the Versailles Rive Gauche train station, exit the station and turn left onto Avenue de Saint-Cloud. Walk straight down this avenue until you reach the intersection with Rue de l'Indépendance Américaine. Turn right onto Rue de l'Indépendance Américaine and continue walking straight. You will eventually reach the main entrance of the Palace of Versailles. From there, follow the previous directions to get to Latona's Pool and Parterre.

    If you are at the Versailles Market (Marché de Versailles), exit the market and head towards Rue de la Paroisse. Walk straight until you reach Place d'Armes. From Place d'Armes, continue towards the main entrance of the Palace of Versailles, then follow the paths through the gardens as described earlier to reach Latona's Pool and Parterre.
