Place du Trocadéro et du 11 Novembre, commonly known as Place du Trocadéro, is a celebrated public square in Paris, offering arguably the most iconic and unobstructed views of the Eiffel Tower. Located in the 16th arrondissement, the plaza is steeped in history, named in commemoration of the Battle of Trocadero in 1823, where French forces captured a Spanish fort. The Trocadéro has evolved significantly over the years. Originally, the Palais du Trocadéro was built on this site for the Exposition Universelle of 1878. This Moorish and neo-Byzantine structure was eventually demolished in 1937 to make way for the Palais de Chaillot, which stands today. The Palais de Chaillot is home to several museums, including the Musée de l'Homme and the Musée National de la Marine, adding to the cultural richness of the area.
