If you are starting from the Palace of Versailles, exit the palace grounds and head towards the main entrance. Walk down Avenue de Paris until you reach the RER C train station called 'Versailles Château Rive Gauche'. Take the RER C train towards 'Paris - Saint-Michel'. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'Saint-Michel - Notre-Dame' station. Once you exit the station, walk towards the Seine River and cross the bridge (Pont Saint-Michel). Continue straight until you reach Rue de la Bûcherie. Turn left, and you will find Shakespeare and Company at number 37.

From the Palace of Versailles, walk to the nearby bus stop 'Versailles Château'. Take the bus line '171' towards 'Versailles Rive Droite'. After 15 minutes, get off at 'Pont de Sèvres'. Transfer to Metro line 9 at the 'Pont de Sèvres' station. Take the Metro towards 'Château de Vincennes' and get off at 'Strasbourg - Saint-Denis'. From there, transfer to Metro line 4 towards 'Mairie de Montrouge' and get off at 'Saint-Michel'. Exit the station and walk towards the Seine River. Cross the bridge (Pont Saint-Michel) and walk straight to Rue de la Bûcherie. Turn left, and Shakespeare and Company will be on your left at number 37.
