Getting There

• Public Transport

  Square Louise Michel is easily accessible via the Paris Metro. The nearest stations are Anvers (Line 2) and Abbesses (Line 12), both a short walk to the square. From Anvers, walk towards the Sacré-Cœur Basilica; the square is located at the foot of the hill. From Abbesses, walk downhill towards the basilica. Alternatively, buses 30, 54, 56, and 85 stop nearby. A single T+ ticket costs €2.50 and is valid for metro, RER (within zone 1), and bus travel.

• Funicular

  For a scenic ascent, take the Montmartre Funicular from the base station near Anvers Metro. The funicular brings you near the Sacré-Cœur. From there, walk south down the steps to Square Louise Michel. The funicular is included in the standard T+ ticket (€2.50).

• Walking

  From the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, descend the grand staircase leading down the hill. Square Louise Michel is located at the bottom of these steps. Walking from Montmartre to the square offers picturesque views of Paris. Be prepared for a descent with stairs.

• Taxi/Ride-Share

  Taxis and ride-sharing services can drop you off near the Place Saint-Pierre, close to the square's entrance. A short taxi ride from central Paris (e.g., the Eiffel Tower) to Square Louise Michel typically costs €12-€15. Note that traffic in Montmartre can be heavy, especially during peak tourist season.

• Driving

  Driving directly to Square Louise Michel is possible, but parking in Montmartre can be challenging. Limited on-street parking is available in the area, with rates of €4.00 for 1 hour and €8.00 for 2 hours, Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 to 20:00. Several parking garages are nearby, such as those at Anvers and Rochechouart. Parking fines are €50 for 6 hours, but reduced to €35 if paid within 4 days.
