Walking
If you find yourself in the city center of Versailles, start at the Place du Marché, which is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. From here, head southwest on Rue de la Paroisse until you reach Rue des Réservoirs. Turn left onto Rue des Réservoirs and continue straight. You will pass several charming shops and cafes. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the grand entrance of the Palace of Versailles located at Place d'Armes. The palace is unmistakable with its golden gates and expansive gardens.

From the Versailles Rive Gauche train station, you can take bus line 171 towards 'Versailles Château'. The bus stop is located right outside the station. Board the bus and it will take you directly to the Palace of Versailles. The journey takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Get off at the 'Versailles Château' stop, which is just a short walk from the entrance at Place d'Armes.

If you are near the Versailles Rive Droite train station, take the train towards 'Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche - Forêt de Marly'. After about 5 minutes, get off at the next stop, 'Versailles Rive Gauche'. From the station, follow the signs to the exit and head in the direction of Rue de la Paroisse. Walk straight on Rue de la Paroisse until you reach Rue des Réservoirs, then turn left. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you arrive at the Palace of Versailles at Place d'Armes.
