Walking
From the center of Versailles, walk towards the train station 'Gare de Versailles Rive Droite'. Once you reach the station, take the train to Paris. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Upon arriving at the 'Gare Saint-Lazare' station in Paris, exit the station and follow the signs for the Metro. Take Metro Line 3 (the yellow line) and transfer at 'Opéra' to Line 7 (the pink line) towards 'La Courneuve – 8 Mai 1945'. Get off at 'Palais Royal - Musée du Louvre' station. From there, it's a short walk to 'Pl. du Carrousel'. Exit the station and head east on Rue de Rivoli towards Rue du Louvre. Continue straight until you see the 'Pl. du Carrousel' on your right.
Bus
From the center of Versailles, go to the bus stop at 'Place d'Armes'. Take the bus line 171 towards 'La Défense'. This bus will take you directly to the 'Pont de Sèvres' stop. From there, transfer to Metro Line 9 (the light blue line) and head towards 'Mairie de Montreuil'. Get off at 'Franklin D. Roosevelt' station, then transfer to Line 1 (the light orange line) towards 'La Défense'. Finally, get off at 'Palais Royal - Musée du Louvre' station, and walk east on Rue de Rivoli to reach 'Pl. du Carrousel'.
