Walking

From the Versailles Rive Gauche train station, exit onto Avenue de la Gare. Head east and walk straight until you reach Rue de l'Indépendance Américaine. Turn left onto this street. Continue walking until you reach the entrance of the Palace of Versailles. Once there, enjoy the gardens, and head towards the Grand Canal. From the Grand Canal, you can take public transport to Paris. Make your way to the RER C station at Versailles Château Rive Gauche. Follow the signs for RER C and board a train heading towards Paris.
Bus

From the Palace of Versailles, exit the gardens and head to the bus stop at Avenue de Paris. Board bus number 171 towards 'La Défense'. This bus will take you directly to the RER C station at Versailles Château Rive Gauche. Once you arrive, follow the signs for the RER C train to Paris. Make sure to board a train heading towards 'Champ de Mars - Tour Eiffel' station, which is close to the Eiffel Tower.
Train

From the Palace of Versailles, walk to the Versailles Château Rive Gauche train station, which is about a 10-minute walk. Exit the palace grounds and head south on Rue de l'Indépendance Américaine, then turn right onto Avenue de la Pompadour. Continue until you reach the station. Board the RER C train towards Paris and disembark at the 'Champ de Mars - Tour Eiffel' station. The Eiffel Tower is a short walk from there, following signs for 'Tour Eiffel'.
