The Cascade du Seebach, also known as the Ballon Waterfalls, is a series of stunning waterfalls located in Lautenbachzell, France, on the northeast slope of the Grand Ballon, the highest peak in the Vosges Mountains. The falls are formed by the Belchenseebach stream, which originates from the Lac du Ballon, cascading down several hundred meters.

Walking
From the parking area near Monument Brun, follow the well-marked hiking trails towards Lac du Ballon. The path to the falls is part of a larger circuit, so follow signs for 'Cascade du Seebach'. Be aware that some sections can be steep and slippery. No costs are associated with accessing the falls.
Public Transport
From Colmar, take a train to Linthal, then a bus towards Markstein. Get off near the Monument Brun, from where you can walk to the Cascade du Seebach. Train tickets from Colmar to Linthal typically cost around €5-10. Bus tickets are approximately €2-5.
Driving
From Lautenbachzell, drive towards Linthal on the D430. Approximately 700m after exiting Linthal, you'll find the Monument Brun parking area on the right. From there, follow the walking directions to the falls. Parking is free. Be aware that parking might be limited during peak season.
