Cascade du Wasserfall: A Hidden Gem in Sewen

Cascade du Wasserfall, nestled in the Haut-Rhin department of France, close to the charming village of Sewen, is a delightful natural attraction. Also referred to as La Wasserfall or Cascade de la Doller, it's conveniently located near Lac d'Alfeld, making it an ideal spot for a short detour. The waterfall itself is visible from the lake, but a closer experience is easily achieved via a short, albeit steep, path. The cascade is particularly impressive when viewed up close. The surrounding area provides a tranquil setting, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in nature's beauty. While not as widely known as some of the larger waterfalls in Europe, Cascade du Wasserfall offers a peaceful and easily accessible natural escape. To reach the falls, visitors can park at Lac d'Alfeld and follow the path towards the lake, walking along the eastern side of the dam. At the end of the dam, a steep path leads to the waterfall, offering increasingly better views as you approach.
