Panrées Garden: A Vosges Mountain Retreat

Panrées Garden, or Jardin et Objets des Panrées, is a captivating botanical garden situated at an altitude of 650 meters in Cornimont, in the Vosges region of France. This 'Remarkable Garden' offers a unique blend of natural beauty, local history, and artistic expression. Covering approximately 1.5 hectares, the garden showcases over 2,500 varieties of hardy perennial plants and shrubs, capable of withstanding temperatures as low as -20°C. Visitors can admire a diverse collection of flora, including grasses, herbaceous plants, hydrangeas, heathers, daylilies, chrysanthemums, clematis, and Japanese maples. Interspersed among the plants are traditional tools from the Vosges region, offering a glimpse into the area's agricultural past. Since 2014, the garden has also incorporated sculptures by local artists, adding an artistic dimension to the visitor experience. The garden's layout includes rest areas and meditation spots, inviting visitors to relax and soak in the stunning views of the surrounding Vosges mountains. The garden is designed to be both educational and enjoyable, making it a perfect destination for families and nature enthusiasts. Panrées Garden is open from early April to late October, but closed on Saturdays.
