Walking
If you are staying in Vaitape, the main town, you can walk to the Naval Museum. Head east along the waterfront on Chemin de la Plage, enjoying the scenic views of the lagoon. After about 1 kilometer, turn right onto Route de la Marine and continue for approximately 2 kilometers. The museum will be on your left. Allow about 30-40 minutes for the walk.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local shop or your hotel in Vaitape. Cycle along Chemin de la Plage heading east. This becomes Route de la Marine. The Naval Museum is about a 30-minute ride from most central locations in Bora Bora. Bicycle rentals typically cost around 1,000-2,000 XPF per day.
