Getting There

• Car Rental

  To reach Araarapupu Point from any location in Bora Bora, start by renting a car from any of the local rental agencies available at the airport or in Vaitape. Once you have your vehicle, head east on Route de Vaitape. Continue along the coast for about 15 minutes until you see the signs for 'Araarapupu Point'. Follow the signs and navigate the unnamed road leading to the point. There is no parking fee, but be cautious of the road conditions as some areas may be unpaved.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, take a local bus from Vaitape to Matira Beach. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the fare is approximately 300 XPF (French Polynesian Franc). After disembarking at Matira Beach, you will need to walk approximately 30 minutes along the scenic coastal path leading to Araarapupu Point. Keep an eye out for directions or ask locals for assistance if needed.

• Walking

  If you are staying near Matira Beach or a hotel in the southern part of Bora Bora, you can walk directly to Araarapupu Point. The walk is approximately 2 kilometers along the coastal path, offering stunning views of the lagoon and mountains. This option is free of charge, and it's a great way to enjoy the natural beauty of Bora Bora. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
