Getting There

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available at the ferry terminal or airport. A taxi from the ferry terminal to Ta'ahiamanu Beach, approximately 15km away, will cost around 3,450 XPF during the day. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

  • Public Transport

    Buses operate on Moorea, but they are not considered very efficient. However, if you're arriving by ferry, you can catch a bus from the Vaiare port. The bus follows the coast road, and you'll need to ask the driver to stop at Ta'ahiamanu Beach. The one-way fare is 500 XPF.

  • Ferry

    If arriving from Tahiti, take a ferry from Papeete to Vaiare, Moorea. Ferries depart frequently, with a journey time of 30-60 minutes. Several ferry companies operate, including Aremiti and Terevau. A one-way ticket costs between 1,350 XPF and 2,030 XPF. From the Vaiare ferry terminal, you can then take a taxi or bus to Ta'ahiamanu Beach.
