Getting There

• Hiking

  From the main town of Maharepa, start your hike towards Belvedere Lookout by walking along Route de la Baie de Cook. Follow the road until you reach the intersection with Route de la Vallée de Papenoo. You'll see a sign pointing towards Belvedere. Take the left onto Route de la Vallée de Papenoo. Continue along this route, which will start to incline. As you hike, enjoy the stunning views of the valley below. After about an hour of hiking, you'll reach the lookout area. Make sure to bring plenty of water and wear appropriate footwear.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bike, you can rent one in Maharepa. Start your journey by heading north on Route de la Baie de Cook. After about 3 km, you will see a sign for Belvedere Lookout. Turn left onto Route de la Vallée de Papenoo. This road is more inclined, but biking is manageable. Expect to take around 30-45 minutes to reach the lookout. Take breaks as needed, and keep an eye out for the beautiful landscapes along the way.

• Taxi or Shuttle Service

  From your accommodation in Moorea, you can arrange for a taxi or shuttle service to take you to Belvedere Lookout. Make sure to specify your destination clearly. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. This is a convenient option if you prefer not to hike or bike. Once you arrive, enjoy the breathtaking views and consider spending some time at the lookout before returning.
