Getting there

Walking

To reach Three Pines Lookout from the center of Moorea, start at the Moorea Tourist Information Center located in Maharepa. From there, head south on the main road (Route de Pihaena) for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Belvedere Lookout. Turn left onto this road and continue walking for about 2 kilometers. As you walk, enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides. After about 2 kilometers, you will see a sign for Three Pines Lookout. Follow the signs that lead you to the trailhead, which is a short walk from the main road.

Hiking

Once you reach the trailhead for Three Pines Lookout, begin your hike. The trail is well-marked and takes about 30-45 minutes to reach the lookout. The path is somewhat steep, so wear sturdy shoes and bring water. Along the way, you'll encounter lush vegetation and possibly some local wildlife. The lookout itself offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and sea, making the hike well worth it.

Public Transportation and Walking

If you're starting from the ferry terminal in Vaiare, take a local bus or a taxi to Maharepa. From Maharepa, follow the previous walking directions to reach the Three Pines Lookout.
