Getting There

• Walking

  If you are staying in the area of Te'avaro, you can start your journey to Toatea Lookout by walking along the main road (Route de ceinture). Head northeast on Route de ceinture for about 1.5 kilometers, enjoying the picturesque views of the ocean and surrounding landscapes. You will pass a few local shops and cafes where you can stop for refreshments. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Route de Moorea. Take a left onto Route de Moorea and continue for about 1 kilometer until you see signs directing you to Toatea Lookout.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from any local rental shop in Te'avaro. Start your ride by heading northeast on Route de ceinture for approximately 1.5 kilometers. After reaching the intersection with Route de Moorea, turn left and cycle for an additional kilometer. Look for the sign for Toatea Lookout on your right. The ride is relatively flat and offers beautiful views, making it an enjoyable experience.

• Hiking

  For those who enjoy hiking, you can begin your trek from the nearest trailhead in Te'avaro. Find a local guide or a hiking map, and start your hike towards Toatea Lookout, which is located within the hills. The trail may be steep and rocky, so ensure you have appropriate footwear and plenty of water. Follow the marked paths until you reach the lookout point, which offers stunning views of the island and surrounding waters.

• Taxi or Ride-Sharing

  If you prefer not to walk or cycle, you can take a taxi or use a ride-sharing service available in Moorea. Simply request to be taken to Toatea Lookout. The driver will be familiar with the location and can drop you off at the entrance. From there, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the lookout point itself.
