The Tomb of King Pōmare V is located at 'Outu'ai'ai point in Arue. This monument pays tribute to the last king of Tahiti, Pōmare V, who reigned from 1877 until his abdication in 1880. The imposing structure, primarily built from coral stones, features a pyramid shape with a rectangular base and a Grecian urn at the top. Originally built for his mother, Queen Pōmare IV, who ruled Tahiti for 50 years, King Pōmare V had her remains moved to the Royal Pomare Cemetery to reserve the tomb for himself.
