From the center of Punaauia, walk northwest on Route de la Plage (coastal road) for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Avenue de la Réserve. Turn left and walk for about 1 kilometer until you see the sign for Plateau Vaitavere; the entrance is on the right. This walk takes approximately 30-40 minutes.

Take the local bus (Le Bus) from the main bus stop in Punaauia towards Papeete. Ask the driver to drop you off at the stop for Avenue de la Réserve. The bus fare is approximately 200 XPF (around 2 USD). From the bus stop, it is a short 10-minute walk to the entrance of Plateau Vaitavere.

Rent a bicycle in Punaauia and ride northwest along Route de la Plage. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Avenue de la Réserve. Continue for approximately 1 kilometer to find the entrance to Plateau Vaitavere on your right. This option will take about 15-20 minutes.
