Getting There

Foot
Start your journey from the center of Punaauia. Head northwest on Route de la Plage (also known as the coastal road). Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Avenue de la Réserve. Turn left onto Avenue de la Réserve and keep walking for about 1 kilometer until you see a sign for Plateau Vaitavere. The entrance will be on your right. This entire walk should take approximately 30-40 minutes.

Public Transportation
If you prefer not to walk, you can take a local bus (Le Bus) from the main bus stop in Punaauia. Board any bus heading towards the direction of Papeete and ask the driver to drop you off at the stop for Avenue de la Réserve. The fare is approximately 200 XPF (around 2 USD). From the bus stop, it is a short 10-minute walk to the entrance of Plateau Vaitavere.

Bicycle
Bicycles can be rented in Punaauia. Once you have a bike, ride northwest along Route de la Plage. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Avenue de la Réserve. Continue biking for approximately 1 kilometer, and you will find the entrance to Plateau Vaitavere on your right. This option will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.
