Car
Start your journey from Pikounda Gorilla Camp by heading southwest on the main road. Follow this road for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction near the town of Petit Panga. At the junction, take a left turn onto the road leading to Pointe Pongara. Continue on this road for another 15 kilometers. As you approach Pointe Pongara, look for signs directing you to Pongara Lodge. The lodge is located near the beach, and you should be able to see the entrance to the lodge on your right. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
From Pikounda Gorilla Camp, you will need to take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus). Head to the nearest taxi-brousse station and look for one heading towards Petit Panga. The fare should be around 500 CFA (Central African Francs). Once you arrive in Petit Panga, you will need to take another taxi-brousse or a motorcycle taxi (moto) to Pointe Pongara. This leg of the journey will cost you approximately 1000 CFA. Inform the driver that you are going to Pongara Lodge, and they will drop you off at the closest point to the lodge. From there, it is a short walk to the lodge entrance.
