Start from Gudauri and head east on the E117 highway. Continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach Zhinvali. Look for signs indicating the Keli Fortress. Once in Zhinvali, you may need to follow local roads leading off the E117. The fortress coordinates are approximately 42.1437 latitude and 44.7822 longitude. Parking may be limited near the fortress, so plan to park nearby and walk the last few minutes.

From Gudauri, take a marshrutka (minibus) heading toward Tbilisi. Inform the driver that you wish to stop at Zhinvali. The marshrutka ride costs about 5 GEL and takes roughly 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Zhinvali, you can either walk or take a taxi to reach Keli Fortress, which is approximately 2 kilometers away. Be prepared to negotiate the taxi fare, which should be around 10-15 GEL.
